- Indian Institute of Technology along with Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) has announced a drive to support women entrepreneurs in the country. The initiative named as La Eve aims to identify innovative female found startups and provide a comprehensive entrepreneurial support programme.
- IIM Kozhikode Director Professor Debashis Chatterjee while speaking about the initiative said that an economy cannot grow at its full potential if a section of people is not contributing to it actively. Promoting and supporting women entrepreneurship can help in contributing to the country’s economic goals in a significant way.
- An early-stage startup with a minimum viable product or a proof of concept will be considered for the initiative. The start-ups selected will be provided support funds of up to 25 lakhs with structured incubation programme and task-based mentoring along with access to professional services, co-working space, training and workshops with other benefits on the campus of IIM Kozhikode.
